Ashmore Filly Loo
An unframed original linoprint based on the Ashmore Filly Loo.
Every year on the Friday closest to the summer solstice, in the beautiful village of Ashmore in Dorset, people gather round the village pond. As the evening light fades torches can be seen approaching as the Bromley Horn Dance is performed by local morris dancers.
It's an incredibly atmospheric experience, and I highly recommend going if you can - it's a beautiful way to mark the longest day and changing of the seasons.
I copy my original drawing onto lino, and carve out the image. I then handprint with oil based ink onto high quality white somerset paper.
Due to fully hand produced nature of my work each print will be slightly different, and therefore unique.
Original hand-carved linoprint
Printed by hand onto thick white paper
Oil based Inks
Each print is unique due to the nature of lino printing
Unframed
Size of printed area approx - 10" x 8"
Colours will appear differently on different screens and monitors
